Cisco Marine Services provides demucking and tank cleaning services for vessels preparing for maintenance, inspection, steel repairs and drydock. Our scope covers fuel oil, lubricating oil, sludge, bilge, ballast and cargo tanks, with cleaning methods selected according to the tank’s condition, previous contents and intended work.
Services include the removal of accumulated sludge, sediment and solid residues, followed by mechanical cleaning, washing and degreasing as required. Tank bottoms, internal structures, heating coils and accessible surfaces are cleaned to the agreed standard, with collected residues transferred to suitable containers for disposal through approved facilities.
Before work begins, we coordinate tank isolation, ventilation, atmosphere testing and enclosed-space entry arrangements with the vessel and the responsible parties. Work is carried out under the applicable permit-to-work procedures, with suitable protective equipment, supervision and rescue arrangements.
Our teams mobilise the manpower, pumps, ventilation equipment and cleaning tools required for each assignment. Waste handling, shore transfer and disposal can be coordinated within the agreed project scope and local port requirements.
On completion, the cleaned areas are presented for inspection, with photographic records and details of any visible corrosion, coating damage or defects identified during cleaning.
